Tim Bennett is a highly accomplished saxophonist whose exceptional artistry and musical talent have earned him a loyal and devoted following. Growing up on the vibrant south side of Chicago, he discovered his deep passion for music at an early age. His journey with the saxophone began in the fourth grade, nurtured within the supportive and encouraging environment of his family, who have strong ties to the black church. A proud alumnus of the Merit School of Music, Ravinia, and Gallery 37, Tim further refined his skills and knowledge by studying jazz at the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory, where he was fortunate to learn from influential mentors who played a significant role in shaping his unique musical identity. After completing his education, Tim developed a passion for music education, accumulating over a decade of experience teaching elementary school band and general music in Chicago. Most recently, he has dedicated countless hours to honing his craft on the bustling streets of Chicago, where has found a profound resolve to connect with listeners from all walks of life.
